99 Cents Only Stores Tease 2019 Halloween Merchandise

Major retailers and discount stores tend to dominate news feeds when it comes to Halloween shopping, but over the last couple of years 99 Cents Only Stores have shown to be a scrappy competitor with equally desirable merchandise. Late last week, the retailer released a video teasing its 2019 collection, which includes a number of returning favorites including their Blood Velvet collection and their vibrant Day of the Dead collection.

In a preview video posted on YouTube the discount store highlighted its six main collections, which include returning collections Festive Fiesta (Day of the Dead), Blood Velvet, and Mini Boo and all-new collections Vintage Carnival, Darkest Hour, and Black Magic.

This year’s Festive Fiesta collection is brighter than ever and features a number of returning favorites as well as all-new original Mexican artwork. The collection features your usual fare of tableware and drinkware as well as pillows, LED frames, tapestries, figurines, and more.

Blood Velvet returns with a collection of items themed around a blood red, black, and grey color palette with many items featuring a velvety finish. This year’s collection features new light up steam punk skulls, jewel containers, and even new custom made hats to match the collection’s theme.

Kicking off the new collections for 2019 is Vintage Carnival, though the name is bit misleading as the bulk of the collection just has a vintage Halloween vibe with only a few items featuring clowns, which would tie into the “carnival” theme.

Darkest Hour features a number of items similar to what we’ve seen in years past, but this year it seems that perhaps they grouped them into a specific named collection. They consider this collection “the dark side of the rainbow” and it features a number of Halloween decorations with an oil slick finish.

Finally, a collection that is brand new for 2019 is Black Magic, which incorporates entomology, the study of insects, into the collection. Built around a black and gold motif, the collection features spiders, skulls, and more.

According to 99 Cents Only Stores, Halloween should be on store shelves now!
