Tickets are officially on sale for director Derek Sulek’s upcoming indie horror-thriller “Dead of Night,” accompanied by a behind-the-scenes featurette highlighting the film’s practical special effects.
The exclusive clip features executive producer Chris Jericho and other cast and crew members as they offer horror fans a gruesome preview of the practical gore coming to AMC Theatres across the U.S. and Canada on Nov. 13.
Inspired in part by the real-life panic surrounding the Night Stalker murders in Los Angeles, “Dead of Night” follows the fallout after a teenage girl’s mutilated body is discovered in the quiet town of Elmwood Heights. As a newly elected mayor (Alex Camacho) scrambles to form a neighborhood watch to quiet community hysteria, a relentless killer continues to claim victims.
Dermot Mulroney stars as Sheriff Weaver, a determined lawman struggling to keep the town from descending into chaos. Realizing a sinister force is behind the bloody rampage, the sheriff’s daughter, Kelly (Kirrilee Berger), becomes obsessed with uncovering the killer’s motives before it is too late.
Advance tickets are available now through AMC Theatres. For Southern California fans, the AMC Burbank 16 will host a special screening at 7 p.m. on Nov. 13. The event includes a live Q&A with Jericho, Sulek, and cast members Zack Justice, Berger, and Jake Busey.
