Card Reading Takes a Dark Turn in First Trailer for ‘Tarot’

This week, Sony Pictures debuted the trailer for the upcoming horror film “Tarot,” inspired by the popular trend of Tarot reading. The film is scheduled to arrive exclusively in theaters sometime in May.

Written and directed by Spenser Cohen and Anna Halberg, “Tarot” tells the story of a group of friends who recklessly violate the sacred rule of Tarot readings: Never use someone else’s deck. With each spread, they unknowingly unleash an unspeakable evil trapped within the cursed cards. One by one, they come face to face with fate and end up in a race against death to escape the future foretold in their readings.

The film stars Harriet Slater (“Pennyworth”), Adain Bradley (“Wrong Turn”), Avantika (“Mean Girls”), and Jacob Batalon (“Reginald the Vampire”).
