Everything You Need to Know About the Beetlejuice Monster High Skullector Dolls

Beetlejuice and Lydia Deetz Monster High Skullector Dolls

Over the last week, details had started to pop up about a new pair of Monster High dolls inspired by Tim Burton’s classic 1988 film “Beetlejuice.” These new limited edition dolls will be available this week, and here is everything you need to know.

The Monster High Skullector x Beetlejuice Collection was designed by Rebecca Shipman and features two fan-favorite characters from the film, Beetlejuice and Lydia. While Beetlejuice gets a gender twist with this release, the doll still comes fashioned in the character’s iconic black-and-white-striped suit and head of acid green hair. The Beetlejuice doll also features sandworm earrings and a headpiece inspired by a similar headpiece worn by Beetlejuice when he reveals himself to Lydia’s parents and their dinner guests in the film.

The Lydia Deetz doll remains fairly true to the film’s original character, albeit a bit more fashion-forward. Lydia is outfitted in the black dress and wide-brimmed hat she wears in the film when she first discovers the ghosts of the Maitlands. However, the doll’s dress features a shiny, swirl pattern. Lydia also features her unique bangs and comes with a camera and “The Handbook for the Recently Deceased” accessories. Both dolls feature 11 points of articulation.

The two-pack comes in a themed window packaging and will cost $90 when released this Friday, August 13, 2021, at 9 AM PST. The dolls will be available exclusively from Mattel Creations. You’ll want to try and scoop these up quickly as last year’s first collection of Monster High Skullector dolls inspired by Pennywise from “IT” and The Grady Twins from “The Shining” sold out almost instantly.

  1. I’m so excited to receive this set come next month. As soon as I hit purchase they sold out the very second. I’m a huge MH collector my husband used to distribute across the globe. Even the Comic Con releases we have pretty much every doll/set ever made. Couldn’t thank Mattel Enough for these dolls and wish they’d start making them again as they used to. Many collectors like us everywhere would surely agree! 🥰
