‘Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire’ Comes to ‘Destiny 2’ in Bizarre Movie-Video Game Mashup

Bungie has announced its latest collaboration with Sony Pictures, which brings new in-game accessories inspired by “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire” to “Destiny 2.”

The new accessories, which launch today, include the Slimer Exotic Ghost shell, a Garraka-inspired Exotic Sparrow, and an Ecto-1-themed Exotic ship. Players can purchase the set as part of The Ghostbusters Firehouse accessory pack or as individual items. As a bonus, any player who buys a “Ghostbusters” item from the Eververse in-game will be eligible to download a physical Bungie Rewards Slimer Ghost Shell papercraft mask exclusively through the Bungie Store at no additional cost.

The launch comes just ahead of the theatrical release of “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire,” which arrives in theaters on March 22. The latest film in the “Ghostbusters” franchise brings the films back to New York, where the Spengler family has teamed up with the original Ghostbusters to develop a top-secret research lab to take busting ghosts to the next level. But when discovering an ancient artifact unleashes an evil force, new and old Ghostbusters must join forces to protect their home and save the world from a second Ice Age.
