Midsummer Scream Announces ‘Tales from the Crypt’ 30th Anniversary Panel

Midsummer Scream has made its second panel announcement for 2019 and its another anniversary panel. Previously the Halloween and Horror convention announced a Haunted Mansion 50th anniversary panel, and today they announced “30 Years of Tales from the Crypt.”

Taking place on day two of the convention, Sunday, August 4, 2019 “30 Years of Tales from the Crypt” will feature a panel of individuals who worked on the HBO anthology series as they discuss the making of the show and its enduring legacy.

Panelists include the voice of the Crypt Keeper, John Kassir, Tales From The Crypt: Demon Knight director Ernest Dickerson, Academy Award winning special effects supervisor Richard Edlund, who created the show’s iconic opening sequence, production designer Gregory Melton, and director Bill Malone.

The panel will be moderated by Robert Parigi, who served as associate producer on the show for two seasons and the feature spin-off, Demon Knight.

Tickets for Midsummer Scream 2019 are on sale now at MidsummerScream.org. The event will also have a booth at Halloween Club’s Spook Show 7 tomorrow, April 6, 2019 where they’ll be offering general admission tickets at 40% off.
