‘Slither’ Sets 20th Anniversary UK Theatrical & 4K Return

James Gunn’s feature directorial debut, “Slither,” is arriving on 4K for the first time. While US fans are looking forward to the 4K UHD Steelbook from Radial Entertainment, our friends across the pond are in for an even bigger treat: a limited theatrical re-release, a 4K digital debut, and a stacked Special Edition Steelbook.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary, Vertigo Releasing is bringing the recently restored film to select theaters in the UK and Ireland starting April 10, 2026. Following its return to theaters, Visions Home Video will re-release “Slither” on Digital Download in 4K beginning on May 1, followed by a special limited-edition 4K Steelbook and Blu-ray release on May 18.

For the first time ever, the 2006 cult classic has been restored from the 35mm Interpositive. The new 4K Dolby Vision grade was personally approved by James Gunn and Director of Photography Gregory Middleton, ensuring the film looks better than ever while staying true to the filmmakers’ creative vision.
