Lionsgate dropped the first teaser trailer Thursday for “Day Drinker,” an upcoming action-thriller directed by Marc Webb (“Gifted”). The film stars Johnny Depp alongside Madelyn Cline (“Outer Banks”) and Penélope Cruz, with a theatrical premiere set for March 26, 2027.
The thriller follows a private-yacht bartender (Cline) who crosses paths with an enigmatic onboard guest (Depp). Their chance encounter soon entangles them with a dangerous criminal figure (Cruz) and connects them in ways no one saw coming.
The tense first look hints at a dark blend of violent crime, high-stakes deception, and potentially supernatural undertones tying the central trio together.
“Day Drinker” is being produced by Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee, Adam Kolbrenner, Zach Dean and Nathan Kahane. Executive producers include Dan Friedkin, Micah Green, Daniel Steinman, Stephen Deuters, Jason Forman, Sam Sarkar, Webb, Eric Sherman, Sarah Hong, Scott LaStaiti, and Adrián Guerra.
