Peacock has debuted the official trailer for its upcoming original psychological thriller, “Strung,” ahead of its streaming debut on June 26, 2026.
Directed by Malcolm D. Lee (“Girls Trip”), “Strung” stars Chloe Bailey (“Praise This”) as a talented violinist who takes a prestigious job as a music tutor for the gifted daughter of an influential and enigmatic family. As she becomes entangled in their opulent world, unsettling secrets begin to surface, forcing her to question her safety, her dreams, and even her sanity.
The project marks an exciting genre shift for director Malcolm D. Lee, who is best known for his hit comedies. It also boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Lynn Whitfield (“The Chi”), Lucien Laviscount (“The Bye Bye Man”), Anna Diop (“Us”), and Coco Jones (“Bel-Air”).

The film is a heavy-hitting behind-the-scenes collaboration, produced by Tyler Perry and Tim Palen for Peachtree & Vine, alongside horror titan Jason Blum for Blumhouse. Malcolm D. Lee and Dominique Telson, p.g.a., also produce under Lee’s Blackmaled Productions banner. Executive producers include Philip Waley, Shaun S. Sutton, Alan McElroy, and Giselle Johnson-Morris.
