We’re about two weeks out from the new year and as 2019 comes to an end I wanted to take a look back and see what content All Hallows Geek readers read most in 2019. This year I published over 700 articles, the most to date, but these were your 10 favorite.

This year Dollar Tree treated Halloween like Christmas and dropped an entire catalog dedicated to their Halloween merch. Highlighting the bulk of their 2019 offerings the catalog showcased not only what Dollar Tree had in stores for 2019, but also gave Halloween lovers an online version of the catalog that people could order from online.

Ghostbusters celebrated its 35th anniversary this year and to celebrate there was plenty of tie-in merchandise, but perhaps the most impressive was the life-size replica of Zuul, the Terror Dog from the 1984 film.

Geico got back in the Halloween commercial game this year with the re-release of some of their classic Halloween ads as well as a couple new favorites. Growing up I always loved seeing how brands would tie in Halloween with their advertising and still do. Turns out, so do a number of my readers.

I never thought the 99 Cents Only Store would become a Halloween hunters top destination but each year I am blown away by the quality of merchandise the dollar retailer brings to Halloween. This year was no exception and when they teased their 2019 collection you were all as excited as I to see what would be coming to stores in the coming weeks.

Is This the New Mountain Dew for Halloween 2019?

Back in March, a woman on Instagram leaked an image that she claimed was a bottle of the Halloween 2019 flavor of Mountain Dew. A couple of weeks later a clearer image of the flavor appeared on Reddit and it looked like VOO-DEW was in fact going to be this years Halloween flavor. Fast forward to the Halloween season and sure enough VOO-DEW hit store shelves and was in fact this year’s Halloween flavor. As a lover of Mountain Dew I enjoyed the flavor, but it definitely wasn’t my favorite Halloween release.

Back in August Dark Regions Press unveiled a gorgeous, gothic, Transylvania Edition of Bram Stoker’s “Dracula.” This limited edition release complete with glow in the dark artwork was quite a hit with All Hallows Geek readers.

Snapchat Announces ‘Dead of Night’ & ‘Stranded with Sam and Colby’ As Part of New Original Series Lineup Coming to the Platform

This year it wasn’t Netflix, or Hulu, or Shudder that got you excited about new horror content, it was Snapchat. When the multimedia messaging app announced their new Snap Originals series “Dead of Night” and “Stranded with Sam and Colby” you were clearly just as curious as I to see what kind of content an app known most for goofy filters was going to produce.

Spirit Halloween Unveils ‘Stranger Things 3’ Collection

Rounding out this year’s top 10 was the release of Spirit Halloween’s “Stranger Things 3” collection. Inspired by the latest season of “Stranger Things” this announcement was the first in a long string of “Stranger Things 3” merchandise tie-in announcements made in 2019.

2019 was an incredible year for All Hallows Geek. I made new friends, gained a ton of new followers, and saw a lot of love from the community. I am so thankful for all of you who continue to visit, share, and interact with All Hallows Geek. As I look ahead to 2020 I have a lot in store and hope to bring you even more exciting content in various mediums throughout the year.
